Logitech C600 review
The Logitech C600 is a brand new webcam that comes complete with HD-quality video and a built-in noise-cancelling microphone.
Carrying an Australian recommended price of $129.95, the Logitech C600 boasts a 2-megapixel HD quality sensor that delivers 16×9 widescreen video at 720p resolution (when recording to disk) and 8-megapixel snapshots (software enhanced).
And to help you get better image quality in most situations, Logitech has equipped the C600 webcam with its proprietary RightLight 2 technology, which intelligently adjusts the cam to give better images in most lighting scenarios. Then there is RightSound, which works with the built-in microphone to provide clear audio with minimum interference from background noise.
Further proprietary software has been included in the form of Vid, which offer an easy-to-use interface for video calling. It sets up automatically with the C600 with no third-party software to download and when you want to make a video call, you simply use the contact’s email address to connect. Vid is compatible with both PC and Mac, but if you prefer other platforms, the C600 will also work with the main providers including Skype and Windows Live Messenger.
Another fun inclusion is Logitech Video Effects, which lets you personalise your chats by choosing from hundreds of avatars, face accessories and more.
